Where is the Rest window?

Rest normally lives in the menu bar at the top of your screen rather than a regular main window. Click its menu bar icon for the countdown, settings and statistics.

Why did the countdown pause?

Check for a manual pause, idle time, lock, sleep or a protected application. Active-time counting can resume when you return; end a manual pause from the menu.

Breaks on multiple displays

Full-screen breaks intentionally cover connected displays, with controls on the primary display. Gentle mode offers snooze and skip; Strict mode provides exit controls after a short protected period.

Purchases and restoring Rest Pro

Open Rest Pro in Settings. Use the Apple Account that made the purchase, then choose Restore purchases. Restoring an existing lifetime purchase should not create a new purchase. Apple handles products, payment and refunds; this website does not charge you.

Does the 14-day trial charge automatically?

The current app starts the trial only when you choose it and stores its state locally. It does not turn into an automatic subscription or charge. Lifetime Pro requires a separate, explicit one-time purchase. Trial eligibility is shown in the app.

History and CSV export

Open Statistics from the menu bar to export CSV or clear local history. Clearing history does not erase settings or revoke purchases. Rest does not offer its own cloud sync; keep exported files safe.

Launch at login

Check System Settings → General → Login Items to confirm Rest is allowed. macOS may require your confirmation.
